ABOUT ME

I became an OB/GYN because I wanted to be there for women during the most vulnerable and significant moments of their lives. But honestly, it's my own life — the messy, human parts of it — that has shaped the kind of doctor and advocate I've become.

I've struggled with anxiety and depression over the years. After the birth of my first daughter, those struggles became impossible to ignore. What I experienced then — and what I've witnessed in the thousands of women I've cared for since — has made me deeply attentive to something medicine doesn't always make room for: the connection between what we carry emotionally and how we feel physically.

Our stress, anxiety, and depression can drive physical symptoms and, over time, real medical conditions. And our physical conditions, in turn, affect our mental health. You can't fully heal one without attending to the other.

That belief sits at the heart of everything I do. My focus is always on understanding the whole person. I spend a lot of time actually listening to the full story, which women tell me has often been rushed past or dismissed elsewhere. I am always focused on finding and treating the root cause, not just covering the symptoms with the bandaid of a pill. I love exploring all the tools we have: not just medication, but integrative approaches — nutrition, supplements, acupuncture, therapy, and more — because real wellbeing asks for all of it.

I also know firsthand what it's like to be the person who's supposed to have it all together and still struggle to take care of herself. As a full-time physician, author, mom of two young kids, podcast guest, and board member of Postpartum Support International, I live in the same tension most of the women I work with do — where competing priorities pull hard, and self-care is often the first thing to go. I hold myself to the same standard I encourage in everyone else, which means I understand the challenges from the inside out. None of us are perfect at this. But I know that when we go through these challenges together, in a supportive and non-judgemental space, it’s so much better.

I love creating those safe spaces, building community, guiding you, and being your cheerleader, and I hope you see my passion for this work in everything we do together.
